SKEW SISKIN Singer: Fully Rested And Ready To Rock
April 15, 2004SKEW SISKIN singer Nina C. Alice has issued a statement regarding the cancellation of the last three shows of the group's European tour. As previously reported, the dates were called off after Nina was advised by her doctors to "stay in bed for at least one week to give her body the needed rest and fully recover her vocal cords before further damage is done."
Says Nina: "Thanks to all people who've wished me a quick recovery!! I am SO glad to see that you all have wished me only the best. There was a virus in my lungs and it was only a question of time until my voice cracked. On top of it I had a really bad cold. I really had to take serious care of my voice immediately!! But still, as you can imagine, it wasn't very easy to decide to cancel the tour!! But: no voice, no show, no fun..! So therefore I had to land in my bed for 12 days... it goes without saying that it often was a little boring .. and painful to cough. But, I did get some distractions! I've read a book about Amsterdam and some novel and saw some really good movies! One of the movies I loved was: 'Mrs Doubtfire' with the incredible R. Williams and a brilliant documentary about real horsewhisperers, ghee, they impress me! I want to talk to horses too. What really disgusted me was to drink all this healthy tea all day. Ugh. Glad I am back in the saddle again! Heehaw!
"Anyway, enough from the edge of my mind. I am about to get in shape again now, and I am looking forward to roll the rock in three weeks. So are the guys in my band!!! See you in May!"
